“Rayne has been instrumental in helping to give one of our key characters, Luna, a voice!
Her voice breathes with her passion for her craft and Luna's adolescent indifference when needed~”
ABOUT RAYNE
Rayne DeVeau is an American actress most notable for her role as Luna Gardner in 555Comic’s Conspiracy Research Club. She has been an on-stage actress for her entire life, born in 1992, and found that acting and singing have always been her escape and safe space. Rayne is a professional singer, trained in classical, operatic, musical theatre and more. When not singing and acting, Rayne is writing her own stories. She’s also written her own lyrics to songs and raps and works with talented composers. Rayne is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
Rayne also owned a small business online called Raynestorm Productions with the dreams of turning the original stories in her comics into animation. This was a growing experience, and one that taught Rayne many lessons. The biggest lesson, was that without business experience, living in the society we do, running a business as a CEO of a company on one 9-5 work paycheck, without additional funding or investors, is quite the colossal task. Eventually, payments were arriving late, and it began to show Rayne that without a business partner, investments, and her limited knowledge of how to run a quickly growing company, it was best to close down and seek other ventures. Once all freelancers and team member were paid, the business closed down, and Rayne focused on continuing being a freelancer herself, without the financial stress and pressure that came with being a CEO. However, the talents and connections that were made during this experience, were wonderful and unforgettable. This also showed Rayne that she was a leader who was able to bring people together and create a community of safe space and support to celebrate creatives and their talents.
Rayne strives herself in authenticity and a growth mindset. Just because something didn’t work out, doesn’t mean it was a failure! We are put on this earth to learn lessons, and follow the paths destined for us. Rayne believes that the world should recognize creatives as more of a necessity, as we are the talents that entertain the masses! You are never too old to learn and grow, and we must all challenge ourselves to constantly be the best versions of ourselves with the experiences and lessons we learn from.
Outside of being a creative at heart, Rayne earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Women’s and Gender Studies. She now works full time as a caseworker for children and families, helping them get access to resources such as food, shelter, clothing, education and therapy, or anything else the family needs to get to a safe and secure place.
PHILOSOPHY
Rayne believes in bringing authenticity and raw emotion to every delivery and performance. She doesn’t just read the script, she dives into the character, the backstory, and hones in on every emotion. If it’s not a genuine emotion, she will not stop until the lines feel right for the story and the client is blown away.
Her stories feature real life challenges that characters go through, with realistic situations and relationships. With her background and education in human services, Rayne is able to write in a way that both consumes and relates to the reader, giving them a sense that they are immersed in the story, and can connect with the characters and plot deeply. Two books are in the works currently, hoping to be published in the future!

“As a child, I was always told I was too “big” (chubby) to be an actress. Or, that music was not a career. That I wouldn’t get anywhere with writing. It made me want it more.”
